Welcome to the digital front porch of Adam Oldfield: entrepreneur, college professor, recovering radio guy and quite possibly the only person you know who gets genuinely excited about furnace filters.
So, who exactly are you reaching?
- General Manager of Vacu-Man Furnace & Duct Cleaning, the Hamilton family business my father started in 1979. I learned the trade handing out flyers on Saturday mornings. Now I run the place.
- Professor at Mohawk College since 2005, teaching Sales, Entrepreneurship, Organizational Behaviour and Media.
- Business consultant helping Ontario companies put automation and AI to work, including through Provyant.
- Past President of the Rotary Club of Hamilton, and still very much at the table.
- Broadcaster since 1994, from the Tiger-Cats and Blue Jays to Tech Talk on the radio. The mic is closed for now. The opinions are not.
Whatever happened to the contact form?
We had one. Then it discovered Russian brides, miracle Bitcoin opportunities and a surprising number of people who wanted to sell me SEO for this exact website. It couldn’t handle the fame, so we retired it with full honours.
The best way to reach me
LinkedIn. It’s where the real conversations happen and where I actually read and reply. Send a connection request with a quick note about who you are and what you’re working on, and you’ll skip the line ahead of the Bitcoin guys.
Good reasons to get in touch
- You run a small business and want to know where automation or AI actually fits
- You need a speaker, a guest lecturer or a guest who can fill airtime without notes
- You want to talk Rotary, community projects or Hamilton
- You simply enjoy a good debate about business, politics or technology
Need your ducts or furnace cleaned? Skip me and go straight to vacuman.com. They have the phones, the trucks and the schedule. I mostly have opinions.
Who knows? You might just find yourself in the most exhilarating conversation about furnace filters you’ve ever had.
