I have been a member of the Rotary club of Hamilton for over 15 years and I have celebrated and supported it for even longer than that. But each year, one of my favourites is the rotary Christmas celebration. This year is no exception – in fact, this year will probably be one of the most crucial for the kids in the city of Hamilton to experience what the holiday season is all about. I remember when I was a kid, growing up in the inner city, how much I looked forward to the Rotary Christmas celebration. It was always a highlight of my year. I loved seeing all of the lights and decorations, and I loved getting to meet Santa Claus. I know that there are a lot of kids in Hamilton who don’t have that same experience, and I’m hoping that this year we can change that. I’m so proud to be a part of an organization that puts so much effort into making sure that everyone has a happy holiday season.

As the Director of Communications for the Rotary Club of Hamilton, I am always promoting the message of goodwill to our community. This event is one of those moments that really makes you appreciate what Rotary does in our community. Over 600 children from the inner city of Hamilton will receive a warm meal along with a gift including mittens and a toque. I am so proud to be a part of an organization that provides such vital support to our community.

CARING FOR THE COMMUNITY

Children are the future of our community. They are our hope and our promise for a better tomorrow. Unfortunately, many children in our community go without the basic necessities of life, let alone the opportunity to experience the joy of Christmas. This holiday season, you can make a difference in the lives of these children by making a donation of $20. Your donation will feed two children and provide them with a gift, along with a pair of mittens and a toque.
